Donate stamps
You can raise funds for BCM by collecting your used stamps. Simply cut or carefully rip off the postage stamp from the used envelope, being careful that you don’t damage the stamp, and once you have a collection pop them in an envelope to Birmingham City Mission, The Clock Tower, 2 Langdon Street, Birmingham B9 4BP. Or you can drop off your stamps at BCM Head Office in person or at BCM’s charity shop in Kingstanding.
Donate your old car
If you’ve got an old car taking up space you can use it to help raise money for BCM. We’ve teamed up with Giveacar, which fundraises for charity by collecting people’s unwanted vehicles, including motorbikes. They are picked up free of charge and scrapped in an environmentally friendly way or sold at auction. A donation from the proceeds will be made to us. If you would like to find out more about the scheme, visit the Giveacar website or call 020 0011 1664.
Fundraising
If you would like to hold your own fundraising event in aid of BCM but are stuck for inspiration, get in touch for ideas, tips and guidance to help with your project. It doesn’t have to be big and complicated – simple events are often the most effective. Your fundraising event can be held at home, at your workplace, church or school; with a few friends and family or in your larger community. Email office@birminghamcitymission.co.uk or call 0121 766 6603 for more information.
