RE Exhibitions
Investigating the Bible in schools
Religious Education presentations
BCM supports two RE exhibitions to schools - The Man Who Changed The World for school years 3 to 6 and The Science and Faith Investigation for school years 6 and 7. Over the last 12 years the exhibition team has visited more than 105 schools in the Birmingham area and many of these schools continue to host the exhibitions. The exhibits are interactive and rich in material designed according to the National Curriculum.
The Man Who Changed The World
In this exhibition for school years 3 to 6 the story of the Bible is explained with bright displays, props and models and by presenters in period costumes. The story is taught in five ten-minute sections looking at the history and culture of Judaism and the Bible narrative of Jesus’ birth, death and resurrection, and ending with a quiz. The exhibition takes 75 minutes and there is a shorter 30-minute presentation for Key Stage 1 classes.
The Science and Faith Investigation
This exhibition for school years 6 and 7 explores the amazing things science can do and considers its limitations. With exciting interactive equipment we challenge the children to objectively consider issues such as faith and the historical accounts of Jesus’ resurrection. This classroom-based exhibition lasts 75 minutes.
