The blessing of harvest

One of the hundreds of people who have come through the doors of BCM's Resource Centre in recent weeks is Mark. Read his story of hope.

Mark (whose name we have changed) kicked a 5-year drug habit in 2021. From the summer of 2022 he spent a year without a home and then 14 months in supported accommodation in Scotland. He applied for 56 jobs, had 6 interviews and has accepted 1 job offer! He started work at the beginning of November. Please pray for him as he begins this new chapter.

Mark's story is one of hope and BCM played just a small part in it, providing a food parcel when it was needed. Thank you to all who donated food over the harvest period to make this small but significant response to a request for help possible.

As well as receiving many donations from individuals, the Resource Centre team picked up 41 harvest collections and 52 were delivered direct, from 40 schools and 53 churches.

This great generosity ensures BCM can respond to hundreds of requests for help each month. Like Mark, each client has their own story. Thank you for donating your harvest and playing a part in being a blessing to them.
